Do they know he was a crazy dope fiend / poet / anti-everything conservative America stands for?
I’ll Get The Bad Guy!
In the wake of the terrible shooting in Newtown Connecticut where 20 children were murdered gun nuts are of course defending their “2nd amendment right” to own automatic weapons of murder. Hey look, I’m as liberal as they come and I don’t want to take away responsible gun owners weapons. But we need to do something to stop this… maybe more restrictive gun laws aren’t the answer, but it’s time to take a hard look at places where it doesn’t happen and see why it keeps happening here.
Newtown was the 2nd mass shooting in America this week… another a$$hole in Portland walked into a mall and killed a few people earlier this week. Anyway, the pushback I always seem to get from gun nuts is “hey more people should carry so they can take these guys out” — yes! Let’s arm everyone and go back to vigilante justice where you can just shoot at people who take your parking space or cut you in line at the supermarket. There are plenty of people carrying and somehow no one ever shoots back at these mass shooters… A lot of them are wearing flak jackets and body armor too… like that guy in Colorado. So that argument makes no sense whatsoever unless you favor full scale Western style gun battles erupting all over your neighborhood on a regular basis.
Obama the “Celebrity President”
Karl Rove’s Super PAC “American Crossroads” just released an ad targeting Obama as “a celebrity president” – as soon as I saw it the first thing I thought of was conservative icon Ronald Reagan. Reagan was a Hollywood actor long before he became governor of California and later president of the United States. So the idea that somehow the president being popular and liked by many as a bad thing is pretty hilarious, and I put together one of those cheesy motivational posters to illustrate the point.
Ann Romney Hasn’t Worked a Day in Her Life
I love the Fox News fake rage meter. Not only for the fake rage but for its ability to help people conveniently miss the point. Recently Hillary Rosen – some lady who I’d never heard of until now said “Ann Romney hasn’t worked a day in her life” – which is absolutely true in a technical sense. Ann Romney is probably a really great person, a great mother who worked hard raising her kids… but she also never had to hold a full time job because her husband wins enough bread for that to be possible.
No one on the left hates Ann Romney or wants to diminish her stature as a homemaker. It’s a very honorable calling in life and no one ever said anything negative about it. What Rosen did say, in context, was in regard to economics. She was commenting about how Mitt Romney asking his wife how women feel about the economy and how she probably isn’t the best person to make a judgement it because she’s never worked outside the home. For someone like her it would be difficult to judge how hard it is to find and hold a job in today’s world – because she hasn’t had to do that. However inarticulate the language might have been that was the core meaning of what Miss Rosen said.
Those Magical “Job Creators” and Record Unemployment
I will give the Republicans this – they are good at slogans. Terrible at governing, terrible at making the economy work, terrible at making sense (i.e. I’m for small government but want the gov to legislate my personal religious beliefs on to everyone) – but they are great at slogans.
One of my favorite GOP slogans involves “job creators” – right now the economy is in a pinch because taxes and regulations on “job creators” are just choking them to death so they can’t flap their unicorn wings and create their magical jobs.
Excuse me America but have you been paying attention for the last ten years? We’ve been cutting taxes and slashing regulation on “job creators” for the last 10 years and we ended up with 10% unemployment and a massive budget deficit. That sure worked out eh?
But reality doesn’t matter in right wing bubble media. Despite mountains of hard evidence that proves them wrong Republicans can still go on TV and say “We have to cut more taxes for the job creators to help grow the economy” with a straight face and no one points and laughs at how stupid they are or reminds them that: “Hey you disingenuous f**kwads who cater only to corporate money – we’ve been trying that route for 10 years and now everything is f**ked up.”
Instead they can use a slogan like this to appeal to peoples base racism against Obama… “I don’t hate him because he’s black I hate him because he ruined America” or against liberals (liberal is latin for “free man” — who hates freedom now you mildly retarded and easily manipulated inbred hicks?) No conservatives don’t blindly hate black people and liberals they just hate the bad policies they make that ruin America. They also apparently hate numbers and math because the facts show otherwise.
I’ve already ranted far too long and used too many words for the people this is aimed at to read so I’ll end with a f**king picture based on hard numbers, REAL F**KING NUMBERS YOU RETARDS, not some abstract pickup truck, apple pie slogan bullshit like “Country First” (unless a black guy is in charge)
So take a look at this pretty picture Uncle / Cousin Billy and then tell me who’s “bad for America” Even Conservative hero Reagan fails miserably against Jimmy Carter when you look at the jobs per year column (Carter only served 1 term, Reagan 2)
(Oh yeah, and this info is from that liberal rag “The Wall Street Journal” so you know these numbers were made up by hippies schilling for that bitch Pelosi)
